It still burns.
An ember to remember when beauty touched my world is all I have left of you, but for pictures I caress.
Yet, it still burns.
An ember to remember how you looked at me and feel the heat build up inside, as if you could read my mind.
And still it burns.
Water drowning me doesn’t squelch it, spitting foam to kill the light, engulf me in a bubble of darknight.
Even then, it glows.
In me, you are an ember to remember, burning with a glittering shine for all time.
