What I Want

What I want is selfish, of course.

I want to play with your personality, like I’m your imaginary friend at recess.

I want to fondle your colors and tickle your hues.

I want to carress your aura enchanting you to envelop me.

I want to lick your spirit until you tease-teach me how to love a man.

One smell, one sniff of your glowing energy…

For but one night connecting with your light, I’d sell my soul to the devil and go to hell full.

the perfect pause

This was very liberating to write. I have struggled to find some light in my world today.

I wrote this poem this afternoon, and this evening, I connect with my Authentic truth:

My reflection begs I stop seeing myself through a home-brewed, skewed perception. I deserve better than to feel like someone’s torture.

It’s ok if I don’t get what I want, but I LOVE knowing what I want actually is…

More importantly, I sure as hell know what I don’t want!

And that makes all the difference.

LOOK…SEE

I don’t have to look to see, a perfect picture memory. Each reel turns up bright any time I close my eyes, runs as black and white shadows exposing my favorite plays, endearing expressions, rogue games of intellectual fun, silliness so sweet, I eat it up, starving for more treats, and centered deep as if tickled in a yet to be discovered part, I giggle with innocent elation for the shining star of my dreams, a musical angel who comforts me, teaching transcending pain to bloom a new beginning.

Oh, to share your air…to physically feel the energy flow from your fingers, from you lips, to observe your personality dance again…oh me, oh my, what a silly romantic am I!!!

I know better, no way, but I embrace the dream at midnight as I fall asleep;)

Inspiration: E.E. Cummings

The first poet who got my goat and really made me want to teach and write with a different kind of poetry is E.E. Cummings.

Years ago, I bought myself a small book called erotic poems e.e. cummings to spark some needed inspiration, but failed to find a spark let alone a flame of spark to build the desire.

For the first time I opened it today, needing out of my head in a big way, looking for inspiration that isn’t…Anyway, this is honestly the very first poem I read:

Layers of Beauty

a bear hug to my brain

I take you to bed each night, a bear hug to my brain as I lie down physically, emotionally drained.

I wrap myself in the memory of that voice, that face, warming me deep in a secret place.

I eat those lines like spaghetti, sucking out the meaning of life as every ‘Ooohhh’ makes me feel high!

I watch the open eye gradually close, time measured by light, and know ‘Stay strong, you’re not alone tonight.’

Sailing to Sit

Grass blades prickling toes

dancing as I lift a daisy

from ground to nose,

sniffing my eyes high

to catch the right cloud,

jump up and hitch a ride

sailing to sit by your side

take your hand in mine

andWAIT to see what you would do

if you knew I’m so in love with you!?!
