Time in a Winter Wood

Part One

We Meet Again

“Where are we?” I inquire as he takes my hand and leads me from the car. Intent on staying cool, I plant both feet and give him a pull.

Dimples and laugh-lines deepen, and he wraps his arm around my waist, guiding my body to full-press against his warm chest.

Anticipation melts my legs, but his tight muscles support my weight as his hot whisper wets my cold ear, “We’re far enough that in the open air…” He fingers back a long lock of dark hair, “I can kiss your lips like this…”

Our eyes locked, his lips meet mine, a little lick parts my lips, inviting him to come in, then, our tongues play, petting each other lubricated, swimming in saliva, his slippery tongue wanders down my neck, and moaning I fall back with his frame pushing me against the car, his hardness pressing with gentle guided pressure up the inside of my leg, lifted to let him know where I need him to go.

“Wait.” I say and slowly bring your chin up, your eyes raised ready to be trained, “Show me, where are we?” And wide I grin.

His coy smile cocked sideways, ready says, “On a business trip, I picked a pamphlet ’bout this, and you came to me…”

Remembering the goal of such a clandestine transgression, he quick grasps my hand, and with a shake, “Come! I do have something to show you.” Eyebrows raising like a villain taunting its challenger.

Giggles burst my nervous bubble!

Running after him I’d go anywhere, do anything.

OH yes, with Chase, a part of me knew I was in glorious trouble.

The Road IN

The road in, filled with gravel and potholes, should have blinked red, neon in my brain, “RETREAT!” But, green giddy gripping my gut shut that up for this one moment in my lifetime, when finally, all to myself, I have him, all mine…

And I followed him, until he parked in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere, a clearing beneath a canopy of forestry, heavy limbs bent over me, glistening in the winter moonlight that bounces off his eyes when finally his hot, “Hi…” in my ear arrives.

THE INVITATION

The picture glossed to glow attracts the eye from high to low, and in my hand the pamphlet shows two mountain peaks, a valley stream running between, the sun rising and sinking in the center glistening, calling through the picturesque moment frozen in time, Come Inside.

Opening up the flaps, Chase read the description fast:

Heaven’s Gate

Leave the world behind and explore the secluded side of life. Hidden deep in the Rockies, the ultimate escape, it’s time you treat yourself to a stay in Heaven’s Gate.

It’s time to get away!

The Black Ball

Fingering the smooth, hard surface of the black ball between my legs, with incessant curiosity, I yanked the ball up, cupped in my palms, and forcefully shook it, smacking the pyramid of truth into the spheres’ sides, allthewhile closing my eyes and asking, “Does he love me?”

ASK AGAIN LATER

Shaking that blue liquid-filled ball harder, “Come ON!”

ALL SIGNS POUNT TO YES

The Magic Eight Ball says. And I grin over my win.

Then, I hear Mom opening the door for him downstairs, and with the sound of his footsteps, he already had my insides burning with tingles…

The Infamous Chase

“Mia! Did you see him? He’s here!” Tiffany shouted to me, her best friend, as soon as I walked into Mr. Reggie’s 5th grade class.

I rolled my eyes and sat at my desk, then, he came through the door frame.

“What’s your name?” Tif rushed to be the first in his face.

With a sideways smile and chuckle, he said, “Chase.”

Suddenly, while walking past my desk toward the teacher at the front of the class, Chase tripped over my foot, sending him flailing to the ground.

Growing up with four brothers made me laugh as I stood over Chase on his back, staring up at me. I reached a hand down, “You ok?”

The infamous CHASE is on…

A Winter Paradise

A frenzy of flickering lights whirl-a-flurry in the fir trees that line the plowed path we follow, as anticipation steams forward the momentum of our feet.

The moonlight ignites reflection off the ice flakes gathering weight on my eyelashes. I blink rapidly.

Chase holds my hand, and despite the cold, he feels wet.

Are we really doing this? I ask myself with a glance behind me…

Our footprints had already filled in to disappear, so then too, gone was my fear.

Sprinkled in white flakes, like a cookie, Chase sqeezes my hand and pulls me near, where lips to lips open as our tongues languish laps of lust in our love’s true kiss, colliding passions enough to forget the world, the ultimate bliss.

Then, staring into my eyes and fingering my jawline, his thick lips peck my chin, and with a child-like giddy chuckle, he nuzzles his nose in to nibble her lobe, and entice, “Our Winter Paradise awaits just over there…”

Pulsing heart in my throat, he pulls me on, feet heavier in the deepening snow.

On the wind, blew a voice through the air:

You might never want to leave…Beware.
